     Greetings, my name is Veerendra Balchand. I am in seventh grade and my hobbies are to play basketball, and draw. This blog is for a Women's History Month project. I have to pick an influential woman from the 20th century and write about them. The influential woman that I decided to write about is Sally Kristen Ride. I think that women play a very important part in society. Without women there will be no love or caring and families will end.Sally Ride is best known as the first American woman sent into outer space, and she is also the youngest person ever sent into orbit. She has received numerous medals and honors for her work as an astronaut, and for her commitment to educating the young. I wonder if Sally ride ever had any children? I also wonder if she got married? Lastly, I wonder if she had any problems while applying to become an astronaut?
